Before you configure your Android Device with our Mobile Email server, you will need to confirm that your Device Supports “Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync”. Some devices such as the T-Mobile G1 do not include this feature, but HTC branded devices like the HTC Dream, HTC Magic or HTC Hero may support it.
- From Your Android Device, open the Mail application. If you already have an email account configured, click on the MENU button, then choose More and then New Account.
- If you see “Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync”, then your device is supported! Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. Then enter your mail2web Mobile Email address and your password and click Next.
- Your Android Device will then connect to the mail2web Mobile Email server to automatically discover your settings and configure your account. It will take a couple minutes to finish. When it is complete, you can select which items you want to synchronize to your phone. Click Finish setup when you are done.
- To enable the Direct Push feature for your device, click on the MENU button, select More and then Settings.
- Then select Send & Receive and then Check Frequency.
- Finally, choose the As items arrive setting to complete your account setup.
