Fragrance Delivery System

by GadgetManiac on April 3, 2004

PDD Group Ltd. has recently announced SNIF, a wearable chip-controlled skin patch that delivers customized fragrances.

The device employs an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) chip to control up to 3 scent reservoirs. A small cell powers the chip that controls the heating elements that vaporize the fragrances. Sensors on the chip monitor temperature and atmospheric conditions in order to diffuse the optimal levels of perfume.

I have a feeling a device like this could save me a lot of money each year.

Maybe if you got mugged, you could also use this device to blast fragrance into the thief’s eyes, like mace.
