Patented Pasta Plate

by GadgetManiac on May 26, 2004

Invented by 2 students at the Lausanne Hotel School in Switzerland, this plate promises to make eating spaghetti easier and cleaner. The plate has a raised hollow in the middle with which to wrap the strands around the tines of your fork, instead of using the bowl of a spoon. The plate won first prize at the Evian Inventors Fair, and has been patented.

if a bowl that makes eating spaghetti marginally easier came in first place, i’d hate to think what came in last at the evian fair.

Anything that would prevent sauce stains on shirts deserves an award in my book.

I hope they make a movie about the creation of this invention, sort of like The Social Network, but with pasta.
