This digital video recorder is still under development by Sony, but will have 7 TV tuners and more than 1 TB of disk space for simultaneous recording of about one week’s worth of 7 TV channels.
The unit is positioned as a “PC based next generation AV recorder”. The “X” is expected to be released later this year, and will be demoed at the “Do VAIO World 2004″ event May 14-16.

One week’s worth of 7 TV channels? I hope whoever’s watching all that is also spending some time on the treadmill.
You could probably tape a whole week of shows on 7 channels simultaneously and still not find much to watch.
