New Video Compression Format – sort of

In case you missed seeing the movie “The French Connection”, well here it is:

The French Connection

…well about 1/3 of it anyway. Cinema Redux has run a few films through some software that samples the movie every second and generates an 8 x 6 pixel image of the frame at that moment in time. It does this for the entire film, with each row representing one minute of film time.

Produces a kind of quick reference summary of the film.

An equally good way to refresh your memory about a movie is simply to peruse the chapter titles on the DVD.
