Toshiba today announced three new F series models of its Gigabeat HDD-based MP3 players. One of the models is the F60 which has a 60-gigabyte capacity on a 1.8-inch hard disk drive.

The F60 is very close to market-leader iPod in terms of size and weight, but offers 20GB more capacity and a not-bad QVGA screen. The price of the F60 is expected to be much higher than the iPod.
