Biometrics are Coming

Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions Corp. next spring will start selling ATMs to Japanese banks that are equipped with a finger vein biometric identification system.
Biometric ATM

Works by assigning a mathematical value to the pattern of your veins as viewed in near-infrared light. Great if it eliminates the need for an ATM card & PIN number.

I’m all for eliminating PIN numbers. Plus, no one can steal your identity this way (at least not yet….).
