Emaar Properties has announced that the South Korean corporation Samsung will be the principal contractor for its Burj Dubai tower.
When completed in 2008, the concrete and steel tower will be the tallest building in the world at 800 metres (almost ½ mile high), beating the current title holder, Taipei 101, by 291 metres.
