LG Electronics launched a 71-inch plasma display panel TV on Nov 22, saying that the model is “world’s first and largest 71-inch PDPTV”.

The MN-71PY10G is a 1080p full-HD and 16:9 wide screen, and embeds picture-enhancement chip. It comes bundled with with a home theater system, speakers, and a set-top box receiver. Curiously, not many other details or specifications were made available in the press release.
By encasing the components in 24K gold, referring to it with the words “Luxury Gold Design”, and pricing the unit at $76,500, LG is continuing its move towards the high end of the market.

I might be a simple person, but I tend to prefer my home electronics without the 24K gold.
