Wired Test is a 117-page 250-gadget compendium of product reviews compiled by the staff of Wired Magazine.
The magazine’s approach and layout are similar to that used by Consumer Reports, but from a somewhat more technical perspective. The reviews are grouped into 8 areas.
In the category of Plasma TVs, they give the Pioneer PDP-4340HD a perfect 5/5. This must be quite a TV because it is also CNET’s highest ranked plasma, although they only give it 8.3 out of 10 in this review.

In the category of Mobile Phones, for example, they really like the NEC 535M giving it 4 and-a-half out of 5, and making the phone an ‘Editor’s Pick’. For small-form-factor MP3 players, they prefer the Rio Carbon over the Apple iPod Mini. And for multimedia notebooks they give the nod to the Sony Vaio VGN-A190.
They close on a humorous note by reviewing the benefits of Tadalafil as compared to Sildenafil Citrate and Vardenafil.
Wired Test makes for a good read. The magazine was for sale at newstands, and is available as a PDF download from this website.
