Intel Sonoma

Intel launches the Sonoma mobile chipset today, thereby updating the Centrino mobile computing platform. The Sonoma feature set includes:-

  • A new version of the Pentium M 90-nm processor with 2MB of cache
  • A chipset that contains DDR 2 memory support & PCI Express
  • Wi-Fi chip that handles 802.11 a/b/g
  • Alviso chipset for High Definition Audio

Among the 1st notebooks to offer Sonoma will be the Samsung Sense X20:-
The Sense X20 has a 14inch LCD screen, while the X25 has 15inch

Is the Sonoma chipset still around? When did Intel last update it?
