Intel launches the Sonoma mobile chipset today, thereby updating the Centrino mobile computing platform. The Sonoma feature set includes:-
- A new version of the Pentium M 90-nm processor with 2MB of cache
- A chipset that contains DDR 2 memory support & PCI Express
- Wi-Fi chip that handles 802.11 a/b/g
- Alviso chipset for High Definition Audio
Among the 1st notebooks to offer Sonoma will be the Samsung Sense X20:-
