LG is calling this product the Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcast phone. This T-DMB phone is meant to complement the Satellite DMB phone model SB-100 which was unveiled in May 2004.

According to LG’s announcement earlier this week, the phone has a mega-pixel camera, an MP3 player, ans allows users to watch TV broadcasts and talk on the phone at the same time.

Here’s a better image from the original November 2004 announcement of the T-DMB phone, which will probably be called the TB-100:LG TB-100

Digital Multimedia Broadcasting or DMB refers to audio/video signals based on the MPEG-4 coding standards. Those who are into more details can refer to this link for some tutorials on MPEG-4 Part 10 (video).

I hate knowing the person I’m talking to on the phone is also watching TV!
