At CES 2005, RaySat Inc. introduced their SpeedRay mobile satellite antenna that receives direct broadcasting satellite TV and Internet.

This is a new entry in the growing Rear-Seat Entertainment Sector, that saw 1.4 million systems sold in 2003. The device can see satellites from 20 to 70 degrees above the horizon, and supports Internet download speeds of up to 2 mbps and upload speeds up to 128 kbps. The SpeedRay 3000 sells for $3,495 before installation.
Seems to go well with the Rosen A10, a CES 2005 Honoree in the category of Mobile/Vehicle Electronics Audio/Video.

The A10 has a 10.2″ LCD flat panel monitor with 16:9 wide-screen format.

And to think, the only rear-seat entertainment I ever enjoyed as a kid was waving at people who drove past!
