Hanbit’s new Xdrum 501 MP3 player has (up to) 2GB of flash memory and takes a 1GB SD card. It also features two 350 mW speakers and has a 4-line 2-color OLED display.

Nikon has just released the first digital cameras that can recognize a face. The Coolpix 7900, 5900 and 7600 cameras have Face-priority AF (Autofocus) software that can automatically detect a face and maintain focus on that face.
Identix Corporation provides the facial recognition software, which is also used in some biometric security systems.

iPodlounge, in a review of the recently released second generation Apple iPod 4GB/6GB mini, gives the product a rating of B+ and appraises it as ‘Recommended’.
They liked the improved battery life, but weren’t too thrilled by the omission of the previously-available wall charger.

Samsung introduced its Push-to-All (PTA) phone yesterday. Its called PTA because it includes Push-to-Talk, Push-to-View and Push-to-Data functionality.
Push-to-Talk allows users to simultaneously talk with several people, while PTV is simply the video version of PTT. And PTD allows users to transfer data to one or more phones.
Samsung says the phone is the first mobile product that supports all 3 functions.

Honda has announced the first navigation system for motorcycles in Japan. The system has a 3.8-inch touch-panel screen, will be initially be available for Honda Forza models. In addition to showing a map, the navigation has a voice message to provide directions.

Today’s Wall Street Journal has a very complimentary review of the Sonos Digital Music System.

The Sonos system wirelessly streams digital music (MP3, AAC, AIFF, WAV files) to units called ZonePlayers, which are in turn connected to your speakers. The remote control, shown above, manages the music playback.
The article describes the Sonos as “easily the best music-streaming product I have seen and tested. Its the Lexus of the category”.

Porsche will launch a fourth model line later this year, to be called the Cayman S. Positioned between the Boxster S and 911 Carrera, the Porsche Cayman S will be powered by a 295-horsepower engine, and is expected to be introduced at IAA 2005 to be held in Frankfurt in September.

Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG is the world’s most profitable carmaker, and Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking has increased the company’s earnings for 10 years in a row now.
LONDON, February 24 (newratings.com) – Analyst Robert Heberger of Merck Finck & Co maintains his “buy” rating on Porsche (POR3.ETR).

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company has officially announced the launch of its Cayman S, a coupe with 295 PS and a derivative of Boxster model with different style and characteristics. Porsche is likely to introduce Cayman S in Frankfurt during September this year, the analyst says. Merck Finck & Co believes that Cayman S would boost the company’s sales and margins.
