Flexible Displays

Arizona State University has just opened its Flexible Display Center to conduct research and development into lighter-weight, lower-power, more-rugged display systems for portable and vehicle applications.

Flexible displays also are expected to be used in a variety of consumer products, including small-scale displays in personal communication devices such as cell phones and mobile e-mail, personal health and fitness monitors; medium-scale displays in automobiles and small trucks; and large-scale displays for advertising and business conferencing activities.

Very interesting link. The building where this center is housed looks great, and I was surprised how intense the competition for this center was.
