Nikon Face-priority Auto Focus Cameras

Nikon has just released the first digital cameras that can recognize a face. The Coolpix 7900, 5900 and 7600 cameras have Face-priority AF (Autofocus) software that can automatically detect a face and maintain focus on that face.

Identix Corporation provides the facial recognition software, which is also used in some biometric security systems.

What’s scary will be when cameras can tell one person’s face from another, like a James Bond spy gadget.
