The 25th edition of the Taipei International Information Technology Show, aka Computex, runs from May 31 to June 4, 2005 … its the largest tech show in Asia, and the second largest after CeBit. This year, 22 products won Best Choice of Computex awards in 9 categories, including the following : The award for the best notebooks went to the W511A from Giga-Byte, and to the Asus V6000V from Asustek … both are similarly-spec’d Sonoma machines.
Regarding the W511A, the judges liked the 15.4″ wide-screen, and the ATI Radeon X700 GPU. The W511A has a resolution of 1280 x 800 and operates at 1.50 ~ 2.13GHz. As for the ASUS V6000V, the chief merits seemed to be the slim & light design. The V6000V has a 15.4″ 1400 x 1050 display and an Intel Pentium-M 2.13 GHz CPU.

I just checked out the Computex site. The 2011 show, and the product winners, looked amazing!
