Taiwan’s HTC Corporation continues to design nice-looking and nicely-spec’d converged devices. The new Muse is a good example of HTC’s handiwork. Its clearly a music-oriented phone — the name and the dedicated buttons give it away –, but with a raft of other functions.
Based on the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system, the Muse comes with dual speakers and 4GB of flash memory as well as an FM tuner. It has 2 cameras, one of them with a resolution of 2.1 MP. It offers Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and IR connectivity.
The Muse is a tri-band GSM phone that offers a number of high-speed data transfer protocols ranging from GPRS, to EDGE and UMTS and possibly even the high-speed downlink packet access (HSPDA) which can go to 8-10 Mbps.

I never knew HTC was based in Taiwan. It’s a company I really admire, too.
The Muse was an important phone in the history of phones: it really tied together a bunch of elements that we now take for granted in phones.
