Samsung Blade versus Motorola RAZR V3

by GadgetManiac on January 28, 2006

Samsung SPH-A900 & Motorola RAZR V3The Motorola Razr V3 was launched in November of 2004, and went on to become the world’s best selling mobile phone with 12 million sold to date. The Samsung SPH-A900, aka the Blade, became available exactly a year later (11/05) and, according to a new review in yesterday’s New York Times, although the 2 are near clones in appearance, the Blade is a much better phone.

While the review praises the RAZR’s physical beauty and acknowledges its much better battery life, it’s pretty much downhill for the RAZR after that.

The Times tears into the RAZR’s usability and software. They lambaste the address book and call list, the poor design of the menus, the inefficient predictive typing, the lack of memory and the bad user manual.

They conclude by saying that the superiority of the Samsung Blade over the Motorola RAZR V3 is virtually a slam-dunk.

In the razr vs blade comparison its pretty laid out that the Blade is better. It has high speed internet , razr does not , long adress book , razr does not plus in the razr they have the sim card this holds all the phones information so somebody with cingular could steal another cingular phone and put thier sim card in it is now there fone with sprint no one can do that , thats something to think about.

Ben,<br />

You might want to take the phone in to you dealer, or perhaps try a Remote Unlocking service…use a web search for your area. Often they can unlock it over the phone.

Ok i think its time to update the review, considering that the Razr has changed quite a bit internally.
It now has 45 MB and is very easy to use and more feartures.

And yes u can use a MP3 as a ringtone, with a little moding.
