See Through Concrete Walls

January 9th, 2006

By GadgetManiac

Radar ScopeRadar Scope, developed by DARPA for the U.S. Military, is a hand-held radar device that penetrates 12 inch concrete walls and a further 50 feet into a building, and allows the user to determine if there’s anyone inside. The unit detects small movements, such as breathing.

Next up is “Visi Building”, a scaled-up version of Radar Scope. Visi Building will map out the contents of a multi-story building, and do so while driving past it or flying over it.
