I have that phone given to me by my aunt who lives in Japan. I wanted to use it here in the Philippines…the simcard (au) works in my w300i even here in manila but my globe sim doesn’t work on my w42s.

The W42S is a Japan-only phone and has menus in Japanese. The phone works on CDMA2000 1x EV-DO.

The price is 20000 yen, which is about $170USD at today’s exchange rate, or about $195CAD or about 90GBP etc.

If you’re reading this, then you are most likely NOT Japanese and so will have to do with another product, perhaps the W850i or the W950i or whatever variation thereof is available in your country.
