AutoMotoPortal has just published a list of the top ten most expensive cars in the world.
At a cost of $1.7M, the winner is the Bugatti Veyron 16.4. The 7993 cc W16 engine is arranged as two V8′s and has 4 turbochargers – this pushes the car to 407 km/h or 253 mph, making it the fastest production auto available, as well as being the most expensive. Expect low gas mileage.
Also-rans include the following:
Ferrari Enzo – $1,000,000
Pagani Zonda C12 F – $741,000
Koenigsegg CCX – $600,910
Porsche Carrera GT – $484,000
Mercedes SLR McLaren – $455,500
Maybach 62 – $385,250
Rolls-Royce Phantom – $320,000
Lamborghini Murcielago – $279,900
Aston Martin Vanquish – $255,000
It’s interesting to compare the above list to that supplied by Forbes back in March in an article entitled World’s Most Expensive Cars 2006.

At $1.7 million, I’d kind of expect high gas mileage.
Only $255,000 for an Aston Martin Vanquish? What a steal!
