Here’s another eBook reader that likely won’t sell well…this time it’s the Words Gear courtesy of Panasonic. It’s got a 5.6in color LCD screen at an SVGA resolution of 1024×600. 325 grams with a battery life of about 6 hours.
Good specs, but the also-new Sony Reader with it’s fancy E Ink probably has it beat, even tho it’s only b&w and with lower-res.
The slightly-stilted product name Words Gear seems to be derived from the phrase “the instrument which spins words”.

I’d never heard of the Words Gear. Was it this product’s battery life that lasted 6 hours, or the product itself?
I think it just demonstrates how powerfully Kindle and Nook have dominated this market.
