TEDTalks – now on Video

by GadgetManiac on October 4, 2006

Al Gore at Technology Entertainment DesignTED is the acronym for Technology Entertainment Design, which is an annual conference held in Monterey, CA, ostensibly focused on all 3 of those topics, but of-late, seemingly less T, and more E than D. Attendance at the conference is by invitation only and costs about $4K, making it difficult to appreciate the goings-on.

But now, TED has made available for free, videos (33 at last count and rising) of some of their guest speakers. Some of the speakers are well worth watching, others maybe not so much. Al Gore is featured on 1 of the videos – he talks up himself and the carbon calculator, which is available on climatecrisis.net.

In any event, $4000 saved is $4000 earned…happy viewing.

Speaking of Al Gore, I haven’t seen him on TV in a long time. Has he gone into semi-retirement?
