Italdesign Giugiaro VadHo concept car

Well, the 77th edition of the Geneva Motor Show will begin in a few days. One of the cars on display will be the Italdesign – Giugiaro concept car, the VAD.HO. The VadHO is 1 of those zero-emissions hydrogen-based vehicles that we’re all going to be driving 1 day…either that or electric.

While the Vad gets it’s V-12 engine from the BMW Hydrogen 7, it gets it’s name from the Vadò industrial area in Moncalieri where Italdesign Giugiaro headquarters is located. The dimensions of the car are 4550 mm long, 1980 mm wide, and 1150 mm high. Design-wise, it’s an updated version of their own 1988 Aztec…indeed, while it certainly does look futuristic, it also seems oddly dated…perhaps even borrowing some tRNA from the 1955 Ford Mystère …yikes!

The I-G promotional video describes the VAD.HO as being environmentally-friendly (no greenhouse gases), with an extreme cockpit (driver and passenger are seated tandem), larger than a luxury sedan, with an innovative driving system (no steering wheel..think joysticks & drive-by-wire) and having a wedge-shape.

Nice car, but good luck in finding any H
