AnandTech has a new review of 2 not-so-new LCD monitors from Dell…models 2407WFP and the 3007WFP.

The 2407WFP has a resolution of 1920×1200, contrast of 1000:1, response time of 16ms, and sells for about $675.

The 30007WFP has a resolution of 2560×1600, contrast of 700:1, response time of 14ms. $1350.

As reviewers are wont to do, they reviewed the features, specs, design, appearance, brightness, contrast and color accuracy of the two, and offer some concluding remarks. They suggest that despite having been available for more than a year thus far, both monitors stack up quite well to offerings from other companies. Overall, they prefer the 2407WFP saying that a 30 inch display is a bit too large for a desktop.

30 inches does sound large for a desktop. Still, leave it to Dell to come up with monitors that still stacked up well a year after their debut.
