Sony adds 3 new widescreen LCD displays to their line of Luma professional video monitors. The biggest is model LMD-2450 which has a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels on a 24 inch screen.
The monitors use the Sony ChromaTru approach which is supposed to compensate for variations in color temperature and reproduction by manipulating CIE color coordinates to more accurate values, as explained in ChromaTru Technical Review.
No price was announced, but color fidelity does not come cheap – expect to pay about $4000 for the Luma 24-inch.
