While we wait for the superphones, the iPhone, LG Prada, N95 and the Meizu M8 to make their appearance, here’s some more car stuff…
The Washington Post had a look at the Hyundai Veracruz Ltd crossover SUV, and found it to their liking. The author test drove both the much-vaunted Lexus RX350 and its separated-at-birth near-twin Hyundai Veracruz, and preferred the Hyundai. He said the Veracruz looks better, drives better and is cheaper. Hmm…not sure about the looks better part…

veracruz does look better overall, lexus body is just outdated and was awkward from the beginning, only thing looks better on lexus is that it has a more attractive glass roof. Most people did not drive both cars but would jump to a biased conclusion that lexus is better. Historicly lexus dominates, but now days hyundai makes great cars, and when you consider the cost, I don’t see why a hyundai can’t be a winner. Plus, not all lexus are the same, and not all hyundai are same. I drove a 1999 rx300, it was a piece of crap compared to a 1998 LS400 that I drove during the same time.

“Twins”…yeah, that’s Hyundai for you. Sure it’s nice if you don’t mind the low crash rate.

My favorite thing about the Hyundai Veracruz is 1. space, extra seating. 2. the look is nice, most new cars I find ugly these days. 3. the price is great, especially if you’re not made of money. I have looked at every company I could think of and Hyundai is the only one with something I like. I would buy a Hyundai over a Lexus any day!
