Presentation Zen is a blog about professional presentation techniques, and is prone to praising presenters with a penchant for self-awareness over self-actualization ie they prefer Yodas over Darth Vaders. Presentation-Z has never been fond of Bill Gates’ style & body of work, which they characterized as dull, ineffective, cold, boring and abstract…until now, that is.
P-Z remarks on what appears to be a remarkable transformation in the B-G attitude, as demonstrated by his opening keynote address at CES 2008.
Gone are Bill’s bullet-riddled (think ppt) slides, replaced by self-deprecating humor and a more human nature…Bill Gates at the Gateless Gate.

I think preferring Yodas to Vaders is a good way to go through life.
Bill Gates has certainly improved as a speaker, though I’m not sure he was ever as bad as Pres Z made him out to be.
