NHK Still Working on their Super Hi-Vision vision

In case you were worried, NHK Japan would like to remind you that they are still working (see their annual press release) on that next-gen hi-def video format they call Super Hi-Vision.

It’s also referred to as UHDTV & is expected to arive in the year 3000 or so.

Whenever it does arrive, SHV will deliver an image resolution of 7,680×4,320 pixels or 16x that of HDTV, and 22.2 multichannel sound…we’ve already begun to rewire the office…
