Canon PowerShot A720 IS
Digital Photography Review just had a look at the Canon PowerShot A720 IS & decided that it would make for a very good point and shoot consumer oriented digital camera.

Feature-wise, the A720 offers 8 MP resolution, 6x optical zoom, image stabilization and face recognition.

The low-to-medium range of compact digital cameras with fixed lenses is a crowded field (Canon alone has more than 2 dozen overlapping/similar point & shoot models to choose from), so it’s good to get some hints from the pro’s.

The reviewers give the A720 a Highly Recommended rating, a score of 58/70 saying that while it’s neither groundbreaking nor inspiring, it won’t disappoint either.

I don’t care if a camera’s groundbreaking or inspiring, so long as it works well.
