Will It Blend hasn’t stepped up to the plate yet, but somebody going by the nickname nakedmac has provided the next best thing…a stripped out disassembled Apple Time Capsule.

The TC is revealed to contain a 1000GB 3.5-inch Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 model HDS721010KLA330, with a SATA 3.0 Gb/s interface, 7200RPM and a 32MB buffer. Hitachi identifies the Deskstar as the “Industry’s first terabyte hard disk drive for consumer and commercial computing applications”, so it’s sort-of a “server-grade hard disk drive” as Apple claims.

Fascinating photo and posting–some people find time capsules corny, but to me they’re really exciting.
