The highly-regarded blog TechCrunch regards news site Hacker News highly, so you gotta know it’s good.
Hacker News self-describes as Y Combinator’s “user-ranked list of startup-related links” and as “a place where founders and would-be founders can meet and talk”.
So if you’re a hacker looking to start a startup, be a founder, emulate Mark Zuckerberg (link points to the interview video with Sarah Lacy 3/10/08), but perhaps couldn’t get the ear of a heavy-hitter like New Enterprise Associates, then ask Y Combinator for some coin, attend their Startup School Apr 19, and find out what’s going on at the aforementioned Hacker News.
Startup School aims to “teach technical people what they need to know about the business half of starting a startup”, and Hacker News seems to keep to that 50/50 bal, but with sporadic arrhythmia such as ” Mach 3.18 Break Up of an SR-71 Black Bird (currently voted to number 10)”.
