Akihabara uncrates the new E100 media player from iriver and provides a short review.
The E100 measures 92.8×47.8×11.3mm, weighs 59grams, has a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, capacity up to 8GB, FM radio and supports WMA/OGG/MP3/ASF/FLAC audio as well as MPEG4/WMV9/XVID video.
The reviewer appreciated the ‘excellent audio quality’, the click-on-the-screen D-Click interface and the overall design, but bemoaned the lack of Bluetooth and D-Click’s occasional lack of responsiveness.
…at about $198 the E100 is a lot cheaper than the somewhat similar Sony NW-A820 series…see here for a side-by-side comparison.

i thought about buying one of these when they came out, but the lack of bluetooth made me look elsewhere.
I never even thouight about Bluetooth until fairly recently, and now that’s the first thing I think about when getting a new device.
