iTunes Signs Beatles …Yeah, Right

by GadgetManiac on March 10, 2008

Some Beatles in 1969 .. that is almost forty years ago!Rolling Stone Mag and other sources are reporting that that 60′s group, the Beatles, has agreed to distribute their catalog through Apple’s iTunes Store. The deal’s reportedly worth 400 million American pesos, er, dollars. However others such as Sony/ATV Music Publishing, who ought to know, say things like ” Michael Jackson’s company denies Beatles coming to iTunes “.

Maybe, maybe not. All we know is that this latest 3/10/08 piece in RS, is suspiciously like the one in the same rag dated 11/27/06 entitled ” Come Together: Beatles Inc. to Make Tons of Money Via iTunes? “.

…we’re leaning towards ‘meh’.

I’m surprised this deal took as long as it did. I think it would have made a bigger splash had it been signed back in ’08 or ’06.

I like how every headline about the Beatles seems to need to include one of their song titles.
