Panasonic ToughBook UMPC

Panasonic ToughBook UMPCPanasonic announces a ruggedized UMPC version of their ToughBook series of computers.

This unnamed new ToughBook has a low-power Atom processor, an “Ultra tough design” (although Panasonic won’t say how tough), 5.6-inch LCD touch screen and a long-life hot-swap battery.

According to the press release, Panasonic expects the UMPC market to be strong at about 10x the growth rate of other form factors.
