The world’s 50 most powerful blogs

by GadgetManiac on March 10, 2008

The Guardian lists the top 50 most influential blogs in the world. The top ten on their list are…

1. The Huffington Post
2. Boing Boing
3. Techcrunch
4. Kottke
5. Dooce
6. Perezhilton
7. Talking points memo
8. Icanhascheezburger
9. Beppe Grillo
10. Gawker

…funny, never heard of most of the ones on Guardian’s full list. Wonder what criteria they used.

And for what it’s worth, here’s a competing list courtesy of Technorati

1. Engadget
2. TechCrunch
3. Gizmodo
4. The Huffington Post
5. Boing Boing
6. Lifehacker
7. Ars Technica
8. Mashable
9. Icanhascheezburger
10. Beppe Grillo

…hmm..only a 50% overlap between the 2 lists. The truth is out there……but where?

I’ve never heard of some of these, either. They must be influential in other countries.

Who would’ve thought years ago that one of the world’s most influential publications would be called “Boing Boing?”
