Baselworld 2008 is over for another year. The event abounded in watches and jewellery and networking.
One of the most expensive watches on hand was the Zenith Defy Xtreme Zero G, going for about $512000. Also known as the El Primero 8800 Zero G Tourbillon, the watch comes in either black titanium or rose gold. The unique gimbal-mounted tourbillon ensures horizontal positioning of the escapement assembly, thus defying the effects of gravity … or at least compensating for some of it.
And second place in the price race goes to the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gyrotourbillon Two at about $492,650.

And in distant 3rd spot is the Richard Mille RM020 pocket watch for about $394,120.
