Pedestrian Airbags

Toyoda Gosei is in the process of developing pedestrian-protecting exterior airbags that deploy when onboard radar and image-recogition cameras detect a pending impact.

…alternatively, the pedestrians could wear the airbags instead.

Pedestrian airbags that you could wear would probably come in handy in a lot of situations, like when you’re learning to ice skate.
