Water Confirmed on Mars

As expected, the Mars Phoenix lander team confirmed the presence of water on Mars today. This was no great surprise, as the Odyssey orbiter found radar evidence for ice previously but this is the 1st direct confirmation of the existence of dihydrogen monoxide.

This was a fascinating discovery…I hope it’s just the start of major finds on Mars.
