Walt Mossberg reviews & faintly praises Google’s new web operating system, er web browser, called Chrome. Mossberg calls Chrome innovative & smart, but then goes on to enumerate several many shortcomings.
Walt’s current browser rankings are:
1. Firefox 3.0 … “the best Web browser for Windows”
2. IE8 second beta version … “the best edition of Internet Explorer in years”
3. Chrome beta … ‘the 1st post-structuralist & probably postmodern browser’
4. Safari … “Chrome and IE8 are far more advanced than Apple’s Safari”
In the video, Walt doesn’t seem to be his usual perky self: disfluency + flat affect + 4-s pauses = ?

I like Walt Mossberg. It’s nice to see a tech reviewer who’s…how should I say it…less young than the average techspert.
yeah, it seems like the shortcomings of chrome are making him really depressed.
