Nikon D90 Mid-Range DSLR

by GadgetManiac on September 2, 2008

Nikon announced their new D90 camera a week or so ago. Main features are 12.3-megapixels, continuous shooting at 4.5 fps and 720p movies at 24 fps…which makes the D90 the world’s first DSLR with high-definition movies.

A positive-leaning preview of the D90 along with a feature-by-feature comparison to the preceding D80 can be found at Nikon D90 Hands-on Preview. The D series marketing niche is the ‘serious amateur’. $999.95

The ‘serious amateur’ is an interesting niche. Is there a camera for the ‘unserious professional?’

i think there are a lot of hobbyists who are serious about photography, but don’t make money off their work.
