Finger-friendly Windows Mobile 6.5

by Meaghan Ringwelski on August 11, 2009

Windows Mobile 6.5 is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2009. This latest mobile platform from Microsoft has an ambitious, finger-friendly honeycomb-style main menu, fingerable home and contact screens, and more.  It will be easier to use it than the traditional grid layout. People still think that Windows Mobile is actually a Palm, which is trying to look like a phone. They are arguing that Microsoft needs to throw everything they already have out the door and start from  scratch just like Palm did with their Web OS.

I gathered some screen shots from different sources. You can have a look and get an idea about the new touch-friendly Windows Mobile 6.5. Decide for yourself!

The Windows 6.5 may be the cell phone that went completely obsolete the fastest, thanks to the Windows Phone 7.

Yes, I’m glad I never bought a 6.5. It does kind of look like a Palm, come to think of it!
