Sony announced their latest PlayStation Portable Go gaming/entertainment console, model PSP-N1000, a couple of months ago.
What’s new is that Sony has compactified the PlayStation Portable by moving the controls to slide out from under the screen, shrunk the screen from 4.3in to 3.8in (but kept the resolution at 480×272) and replaced the UMD drive with 16GB of flash memory. As a result the weight of the unit has come down 16% to a more carpal-tunnel-friendly 158g.
The Times has just reviewed the Sony PSP Go, declaring the ‘Go’ to be a ‘no-Go’. The reviewer liked the screen and the controls, but felt that at $250 the Go can’t compete against smart phones that also play music, video and games.

Really going to buy the PSP Go now!
Yeah, few specialty devices will be able to compete against cell phones that can do everything.
