The NY Times travel section advises of its latest list of best travel gadgets, this time ones priced less than $50. The number one item on the list is the Leatherman Juice C2 multi-tool with pliers, a knife and various screwdrivers…handy for tightening bolts and such. Also noted are flashlights (they like the Fenix LD01), money clips, cable locks, first-aid kits, radios and so on.
The article also garnered more than 400 comments from NYT readers, most involving arcane discussions about the merits of vacuum packing bags, various additional security measures, money pouches, devices for purification of drinking water, etc.
It seems like a lot of trouble to acquire, pack and carry the above items…we here at GadgetManiac believe in simplicity and suggest that the compleat traveller really only needs 3 things: a platinum credit card and twin desert eagles.
