
Engadget reports that Buffalo is going to ship world’s first USB 3.0 hard disc drives within this month.The external HDD will be offered at 1TB and 1.5TB capacities. Another 2 TB model will follow sometime later.
If you would like to experience all the advantages of USB 3.0 speed, Buffalo offers a USB 3.0 controller, since computers with USB 3.0 aren’t available yet. 1TB and 1.5TB drives will have price tags as ¥20,000 (about $225) and ¥25,300 (about $284) respectively and upcoming 2 TB HDD will cost ¥46,600 (about $523).

Thanks for the share. I found this article to be very usefull
its really brilliant news for UBS lovers but I think still the price is too high.It won’t be popular until price becomes as low as half of the current price.
Ok sounds great but not with that price tag. If we all wait then they will surely bring it down – this level is going to put a lot of potential buyers off, me included and several others I know.
This sounds cool. The capacity being in TB levels rather than GB levels sounds very promising. Looking forward.
