The Palm Pixi runs on the Palm webOS™ platform. The CPU Qualcomm MSM7627 600 MHz processor and dedicated graphics accelerator makes the Pixi much different than others. The QWERTY keyboard on the Pixi is tiny and tightly spaced, but it’s definitely very usable!

However the Pixi lacks Wi-Fi connectivity, which is a vital aspect. It has full support for Microsoft Exchange, and POP3/IMAP4 email. Like its older brother, the Palm Pre, the accelerometer and GPS are still there. It has a 2.63 inch display with 320×400 resolution, a 2 megapixel camera, a 3.5 mm audio jack and Bluetooth.

I must say that my decision to invest in a Palm Pixi with Sprint support was both a rational and emotional one particular. I mean, the Palm Pixi is stunning and functional. And coupled using the service high quality of Sprint, it seems nothing short of a revolution inside generating. I believe that Palm and Sprint have (almost) hit it off famously. I did a good deal of investigation ahead of purchasing the Pixi but overlooked at very least one particular issue. The Pixi will not, yet, permit me synchronize my e-mails among it and Outlook. As far as I am concerned, it is a drawback I’m facing unless Palm comes up with a alternative easily. With my previous SmartPhone running a Windows OS, it was a snap to synchronize e-mails along with other data with one’s Computer. But Pixi’s inability to complete so is doing life a little complicated for me mainly because I have to Bcc each e-mail, I send out, to my e-mail address and then manually transfer it towards the ‘sent’ folder in Outlook. I hope Palm, or at very least a third-party, will arrive up which has a solution incredibly quickly that can very easily enable me synchronize all my e-mails, and ideally all required information, in between the Pixi and my office Pc.

I agree with Hubert Lotta: I think the Sprint-Palm relationship has been very productive and good for consumers.
