Usb 2.0 will soon be a thing of the past. While USB 2.0 devices transfer 60 mb/s that is quickly becoming quite insufficient… Thanks to modern technology, we forge ahead and start talking USB 3.0 devices. Increased transfer rates up to 623MB/s means 10 times faster than USB 2.0. To put it another way, transferring 25 GB of data takes only 70 seconds instead of 14 minutes.  You can hop aboard the USB 3.0 adaptor train right now! British retailer StarTech.com  is now offering a two port ExpressCard-based USB 3.0 adapter for $64, which has promised 5Gbps transfer speeds by incorporating SuperSpeed. However, an optional AC adapter is required to supply a full 900mA to each port, meaning an extra cord trailing from the card. It fully supports Control/Bulk/Interrupt/Isochronous Transfer USB communication types. This adapter may spur wide adoption of USB 3.0 in the market.
