Switching email providers can sometimes seem like an utterly daunting task. From Outlook, its uber easy – all you have to do is export in to a clear and easy CSV file that’s then uploaded to your new email provider, like  mail2web.com. Here’s how its done.

The first step is to open Outlook, go to the File menu and choose the Import and Export option.

Csv_o_1

Select the Export to a File action and press the Next button.

Csv_o_2

Choose the Comma Separated Values (Windows) file type and press the Next button.

Csv_o_3

Select your Contacts folder and press the Next button.

Csv_o_4

Now click the Browse button and select the location and file name that you want the CSV to use. After you’ve named your file and area ready to continue, press the Next button.

Csv_o_5

Press the Finish button to export the contact list to your CSV file.

Csv_o_6

The CSV file is now saved to the location that you specified.

You can then upload your contacts to mail2web.com

This is a really great tutorial, you should add it to all the “How To” sections on the forums, or even create a how to page with all the blog posts that fit in that section. Good resources get buried behind other posts all the time and it’s a real shame in the world of business blogging.

I really hope that you include a link to this post in every welcome email that you send your customers because it is golden. I can’t even imagine trying to figure out how to do this on my own. I’d probably make my computer blow up.

So then you upload them to mail2web and can move them to your phone from there That is pretty cool and simple seeming Is it the same for every phone and operating system type or are the differences from one to another
