Tips and Tricks: Outlook 2010 Beta Review

by Meaghan Ringwelski on January 11, 2010

Last week we posted An Exclusive Outlook 2010 Beta Review to some great  comments and positive response. I’m happy to see the vested interest as I bring you our continuation with some tips, tricks and highlights.

Conversation view is the truly newest feature of Outlook 2010; It saves lots of time and improves work performance. You automatically see the newest messages on top, which opens in another window upon double click on it. You can also sort your messages according to many different aspects.

For all you pro-networkers, the new version of Outlook provides you broader information about your contacts. If you click the names of the people in the email headers, you can get a contact card with links, messages and schedules. In the near future, we might see it also link with Twitter, Facebook and Flickr accounts and bring the latest updates.

Another interesting feature of Outlook 2010 is the quick steps, which allow users to perform quickly and easily.  Found under the Home tab, you can create, modify or delete steps according to your habits.

The contact card feature is really unique and interesting if you ask me. I like the way it operates a lot more than regular contact books that most programs have.

I am using the Outlook 2010 Beta and really like it. My only problem is I can’t link my Blackberry Storm as I did with Outlook 2007. I like to sync my calendars, contacts, memos.
How do I get these two to talk to each other?
